Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the Refro iOS application ("Refro", "the app", "we", "our") handles information when you use it. Refro is published by Nursima Ünver Aydıngül. By installing and using the app you acknowledge the practices described below.

Summary

• We do not create an account for you.
• We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal information to our own servers — we do not run any.
• Your items, drawers, appliances, and photos are stored only on your device.
• The app shows banner and occasional full-screen ads through Google AdMob (unless you purchase "Remove Ads"). AdMob may collect limited ad-related data subject to Google's policies.
• Purchases are handled by Apple's StoreKit. We never see your payment information.

Information the App Uses

Your inventory data. Items you add to Refro (name, quantity, date added, optional photo) and the structure of your appliances and drawers are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData. Photos are stored next to the local database inside the app's sandbox. None of this data is ever transmitted to us, to Apple's iCloud (Refro does not use CloudKit), or to any third party.

Camera and Photo Library. If you choose to attach a photo to an item, Refro asks for permission to access your camera or photo library. The selected image is processed entirely on-device — Refro does not upload, share, or analyze your photos in any way. You can revoke these permissions at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera or Photos → Refro. If you decline these permissions, the rest of the app continues to work; only the photo-attachment feature is disabled.

Purchases. If you make a purchase (the one-time "Remove Ads" purchase), the transaction is handled by Apple's StoreKit. We receive only a signed receipt indicating whether the purchase is valid. We never see your Apple ID, credit card, billing address, or any other payment information.

Device information. The app does not collect identifiers such as your email address, name, phone number, contacts, microphone data, health data, or precise location.

Third-Party Services

Google AdMob. Refro displays a banner advertisement at the bottom of the home, drawer-list, and settings screens, plus an occasional full-screen interstitial ad after several add, edit, or delete actions. Advertising is delivered via Google AdMob. AdMob may collect limited technical data for ad delivery and measurement, including device-level identifiers (such as SKAdNetwork postbacks), coarse location inferred from your IP address, and general device information. Refro does not request App Tracking Transparency permission and does not use the IDFA for cross-app tracking. For details on how Google handles this data, please see the Google Privacy Policy.

If you purchase "Remove Ads", banner and interstitial ads will no longer be shown and AdMob will no longer receive any data from the app.

Apple StoreKit. Purchases and restores are processed by Apple. Apple's practices are described in the Apple Privacy Policy.

Children's Privacy

Refro is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information through the app, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to address the issue.

Data Retention

Because we do not collect or store personal data on our servers, there is nothing to retain or delete on our side. Any data held on your device (your appliances, drawers, items, photos, app preferences, and purchase status) is removed when you uninstall the app.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data held about you. Since we do not store personal data, requests for access or deletion on our side will confirm that no such data exists. You can always manage camera, photo, ad, and purchase permissions through your device's iOS Settings and your Apple ID account.

Security

Because no personal data is transmitted from the app to our servers, there is no server-side database of user information to protect. Data on your device is protected by iOS's standard security model.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be reflected in a future app update's release notes.
